Nala

Meet Nala — The Quiet Power of My African Healing Centre

A presence so calm, yet a force so fierce.

Nala leads not with noise or force, but with a
quiet, unwavering energy that commands respect and love. She is the matriarch of our herd — a stoic leader whose strength is felt deeply rather than loudly heard. Her calm demeanor holds a mysterious power, and to truly experience what she offers, you must be still and open in her presence.

Unlike any other, Nala chose us, instead of the other way around. While we would usually pick the kid who needed special care, Nala took the lead — selecting us to nurture with her unique spirit. She demanded cuddles and affection, and when Lisa tried to stop, Nala would insist, climbing up to claim more loving attention.

In her youth, Nala balanced lazy, hazy summer days with bursts of joyful playfulness. Always the quiet observer — rarely heard but profoundly felt — she is a constant, grounding presence. During Lisa’s darkest year, Nala became a pillar of healing, resting her head gently against Lisa’s, transmitting pure love, light, and understanding.

From the moment we met Nala — tender, loving, and deeply caring — it was a no-brainer to choose her for our herd, especially since, in truth, she had already chosen us. There was never any doubt — when the time came to separate the herd in 2024, Nala’s place with us was simply certain.

Nala - Your Gentle Healing Guide

Throughout the hardship of eviction and change, Nala’s stoic, nurturing energy watched over every creature — goats, humans, and all others alike.

Though we did not fully realize it then, our herd is a living, loving healing force—eager to carry and support not only us through our darkest moments but also to uplift and accompany every visitor on their transformational journey, through both shadows and light, with awe-inspiring grace.

Nala carries a profound message especially for us humans: even a simple question like “How are you?” holds deep significance. In today’s fast-paced world, such moments of genuine care are often overlooked or asked so casually that the true desire to listen and understand is lost.

She reminds us to slow down, to cherish the small things — the blade of grass, the single tree, the tender shoots emerging from the earth — and to be fully present with the land and its beings. In the spaces between words and breaths,

Nala invites us to reflect on how often our conversations slip into mindless chatter — bland, empty words spoken just to fill space and time — rather than meaningful, intentional exchanges where questions are asked and words are spoken with true purpose.

Looking back, we experienced some of the most remarkable moments during a very dark time in our lives. Our goats supported us more than we could have imagined — they didn’t just stand by us; at times, they carried us. We are forever grateful to them for that unwavering love.

After moving to the new farm, Nala surprised us with the birth of two precious kids, Sarafina and Mufasa — adorable, cuddly, and just as loving as their mother. Now, these three patiently watch over visitors, sharing their warmth and inviting you to receive their healing cuddles and uplifting energy.

At her core, Nala is love made visible — a mother overflowing with unconditional affection, radiating warmth to both herd and humans alike.

To meet Nala is to be embraced by love itself; her heart is an endless well of nurturing energy that elevates and heals.

Nala - heart of love and healing.
